I don't mention IE as I am now primary a Mac user. In the workplace I'm stuck with IE6 because some of our business apps are incompatible with IE7/8. Nevertheless I gave IE7 and 8 a try on my 2 year Vista Dell laptop and they just seem sluggish and not very feature rich. Am looking forward to the full featured IE8 - I hope it delivers.

Well said, well reviewed :o)

FF rulez!

PS: I would say, I agree in everything, yet I cannot say this because:

1.I am afraid to go to Safaris download page, 'coz I expect iTunes or some S#!^ to download silently on my PC.

2.I really do not have time to read all that EULA BS (Since these days you really should, just in case of bigGOOGLYbrother issues)

3.Apple and Google really make me hate them as if they fed on my own hate somehow or (i suspect) they are so full of money they have nothing to do so they flirt with masochism.

PS2:Not even a mention of IE ... what a statement in itself ...

Kudos!

I was of the same opinion when I had been switching from my WinMobile based HTC TyTn II to iPhone 3G. What actually came as a big surprise with iPhone is that the sync process is much, much faster than with HTC, and more reliable for that matter even it you have a Windows based Sony Vaio laptop like me.

With Apple, I am literally able to sync my whole Outllok, including Email, contacts, calendar, and notes, in the matter of seconds. Of course, one condition applies - you have to have the original Outlook installed, not a cracked version...

As a cute bonus, syncing alsoupdates my music, pic, and video files, and it comes with the possibility to chose out of hundreds of useful iPhone apps, plenty of them of charge. So it's really a 1-click process, with very FAST execution.

Oh, by the way, what software do you use for iPhone DVD ripping?

Marek

P.S. Feel free to follow me on Twitter, the name is marek w. I am following your twitter posts currently too...

Well I don't use outlook. I got a Mac but mostly use googles webapps. Syncing via Outlook seems to be quite slow and just too much of a hassle. It seems I am moving away from standard client applications to the cloud and just can't be bothered to sync with any app.

Why don't you synchronize your iPhone 3G with Outlook directly? This way, you won't have to use google contacts but your iPhone will just upade your Outlook contact list and vice versa...

Unless, of course, you spend so much time "on the road" that you need to sync every damn hour!

I do know Lingea but unfortunately for professional use it's a tad too simple. I need to take a look at their Technical Dictionary - supposedly much better.

since the new office 2008 for mac came out is a macbook a full featured option for typinators. the dictionary field is simple, i think only Lingea http://www.lingea.sk/sk/prehled.asp has (x->slovak) dictionaries natively for os x. bought myself also, works just fine. btw. i love this app: http://osx.iusethis.com/app/typinator
